Job Description: Summary of Position

 

CNC Machinists are responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes, while following specifications to achieve the correct requirements for each part. They should be able to multitask on a variety of projects and use hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to facilitate their work to arrange parts and measuring with precise instrumentation.

Job Specification: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, run and trouble shoot machinery
  • Select the appropriate measuring tools to validate product
  • Perform dry-run
  • May run manual machinery
  • Investigate and implement improvements to machining techniques
  • This list is not intended to be all-inclusive.  Employees may perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have previous experience with NC, CNC and manual machinery
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve problems as they arise to ensure product integrity
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior operators

  • 2-4 years
