Our client is a leading global digital media company reaching over 1.5 billion people daily. They are currently seeking a Chief of Staff.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $90k

Position Overview: The Chief of Staff oversees the President's office operations, and maximizes productivity of support staff for the President/ Founder/Chairman, to capitalize on his beneficial impact on the company.

Responsibilities of the Chief of Staff:
  • Serve as manager of the Office of the President to enhance President's overall efficiency, awareness, and productivity
  • Support President to ensure consistent and efficient flow of accurate information and communications with clients, colleagues, and business partners
  • Attend key meetings to take effective notes with the President to determine action items for moving initiatives forward (including Board of Directors, Town Hall, Line of Business (LOB), LOB Heads who report to the President, and sales meetings)
  • Prepare, brief/debrief President on status and situational awareness for internal and external meetings as necessary
  • Analyze research for business development and client meetings
  • Organize professional schedule and, in coordination with President's Personal Assistant at home, coordinate /integrate personnel activities with President's schedule
  • Assess inquiries directed to President, determine proper course of action, and draft communications with the Executive Communicator/Speechwriter when appropriate
  • Develop, update and oversee standard operating procedures (office processes, templates, and technology) for the Office of the President
  • Oversee and streamline initiatives and procedures involving President's office
  • Delegate tasks to and coach Executive Assistant
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Chief of Staff:
  • Strategic organization and prioritization skills (triaging essential tasks based on urgency and importance)
  • Executive management experience, especially working for a CEO
  • Superior written and oral communication skills (in-person, on phone, email, write-ups)
  • Effective listening skills (asking for more information to ensure comprehension)
  • Creative problem-solving skills and sound judgement (making smart decisions based on deep understanding of larger impact to the rest of the team/organization)
  • An insightful opinion (confidently, rationally, and diplomatically expressing different perspectives)
  • A sense of ownership (taking responsibility for the successful implementation of all tasks)
  • A sense of urgency, adventure, and agility (balancing multiple tasks with grace and sophistication, and knowing how and when to switch gears throughout the day and still complete tasks on time)
  • Discretion and confidentiality (handling private and personal information thoughtfully and with maturity)
  • Enhanced situational awareness (aligning the President's priorities with relevant initiatives in the larger organization, industry, and community)
  • Ability to build trust and rapport and work collaboratively across departments (frequent communication with executive team and larger organization)
  • Superior typing and MS Office skills
  • Proven management skills while taking a hands-on approach to managing tasks
  • Possible occasional travel
  • Very strong attention to detail
Education Requirements:
  • Minimum BA with 10+ years of experience in similar C-level executive support role, with at least 3 years supporting CEO
