The City of Taneytown is accepting resumes for the position of CITY TREASURER. Taneytown is a rapidly growing community of 6,700 people. Requirements for the position include a Bachelor of Science degree in the Finance Discipline. A minimum of an associate's degree in a related finance field, with five (5) years of progressively responsible positions within a municipal finance administration may be substituted.
The Treasurer manages the financial activities of the daily operations of the City under general administrative direction of the City Manager.
Salary range for this position is $60,296 to $67,864 per annum, forty hours per week, with excellent benefits including vacation/sick leave package, health, dental, vision insurance, and Maryland State Retirement.
