We are seeking a qualified professional individual to fill the role of Quality Lead. The chosen candidate will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of daily quality group functions.
In this role you will also support NCS Management and participate as part of the continuous improvement philosophy. You must be able to effectively advise management of product conformance, capability issues and provide fact-based recommendations for improvement and problem resolution.
This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and will be 1st Shift 6am-4pm
Support Nammo Talley Quality organization as required
Support quality engineering in planning and scheduling first article inspections in accordance with AS9102
Review prescribed specifications and standards to detect errors
Conduct and schedule internal audits as required by AS9100 and NADCAP
Schedule in-process and final product inspections in accordance with inspection plans and schedules
Support quality and product engineers to resolve issues and improve quality
Work with suppliers, internal quality, and operations to facilitate corrective and preventive action relative to supplier quality problems
Support Quality Engineering in the review and generation of manufacturing/inspection documentation
Support manufacturing and quality in the design of fixturing and gauging
Recommend updates in inspection and test techniques to improve productivity / accuracy and eliminate inconsistencies through development of standards of acceptability
Other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of A.S. in mechanical, manufacturing engineering/ or strong Romer/Faro arm CMM programming/use, background (PC-DMIS) plus CAD applications.
Strong knowledge of Nadcap system and audit functions.
Experienced working in an ISO 9001: 2008 or AS9100 quality management system is preferred.
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, and Word).
Minimum of two years of related experience required, but will put preference on those with more.
