Job Summary:The Registered Nurse in the OB Department manages the nursing care process and delivers nursing care services to women and newborns in accordance with New York State nursing practice act, regulatory standards and hospital policies, practices and procedures, and provides service excellence to patients and their families/visitors that meets or exceeds patient expectations. Punctual and mandatory attendance required. Proficiency in IV placement for adult and newborn required. OB, Labor and Delivery, and Nursery experience required. Must have the knowledge and flexibility to work in all 3 departments, and demonstrate organization and time management skills. Must be willing to work 7:00pm-7:00amwhen needed. One call shift per week is required .
Requirements:Current and unrestricted NYS Nursing license required. ACLS, NRP, and Stable certification required within one year.
Experience:3 years’ OB experience preferred.
