This Clinical Nurse performs nursing functions as required within the DOM outpatient practices, as a float staff. Will perform nursing functions in various practices throughout the DOM/CPUP practices including STRESS TESTING LAB and ENDOSCOPY RECOVERY UNIT.
Strong telephone triage and assessment skills required. Provides care for patients in all adult age groups from young adult to geriatrics, including assessment and management of the patients. Works closely with all members of the practice.
The RN is expected to promote organizational values of patient and visitor satisfaction by demonstrating courtesy and respect for patients and their families, visitors and other employees. Must demonstrate competence in the care of patients served.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8:30 through 5:00pm. Hours may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the Department.
A minimum of two to three years nursing experience required and ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
Stress lab or cardiology experience strongly preferred.
As a DOM float staff RN, expected to act independently as a member of the practice team.
Must be able to assume responsibility and perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
Must be flexible and able to work in many different practice locations as needed.
Ability to make professional judgments and appropriately assess patients.
Requires a great deal of interest, enthusiasm, adaptability and willingness to learn.
Initiative is needed to proactively and continually improve the service and care rendered to patients in the practice.
