Shift Requirements1st Shift About The Opportunity Position Summary Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Oversees testing of processes and products. Essential to this Position
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that all aspects of the handling, packaging and shipping of finished goods products at the site comply with the requirements and meet all relevant GMP regulatory requirements Perform all Quality Operations responsibilities for audits, investigations, regulatory document reviews, SOPs, change control documentation (including validation and qualification), and other Quality Assurance related systems are properly implemented, conducted and documented Operate in an efficient manner and maintain an innovative approach based on implementation of best practice Manage the site’s quality department and it’s personnel, including the establishment of goals, schedules, priorities, staffing and training Review and approval of Deviations, Customer Complaints Prepare monthly metric reports for Management and Customers Maintain and update Customer Requirements Responsible for the control and ultimate disposition of in-process materials and for the final release of finished goods from the facility Provide ongoing management, motivation, and development of staff members Perform internal audits and facilitate customer and regulatory audits Maintain Change and Pest Control Programs Actively pursue self-development to continuously improve performance
Essentials to Success
Strong Quality Management skills preferably in the food manufacturing/packaging industry HACCP certification and FDA Quality Standards experience required PCQI certification and USDA Quality Standards desired Bi-Lingual a plus Excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects Exceptional oral and written communication skills Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally Creative and innovative – challenging the status quo, taking risks, supporting change and generating new ideas Project management skills – completing projects on-time and within budgetary perimeters Root cause analysis skills to determine corrective and preventative actions Strong computer skills and work within ERP systems Works well under pressure, meets commitments and understands team dynamics Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision Detail and accuracy orientated Good negotiation skills with customer-oriented attitude Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written Exceptional knowledge of Federal/GMP regulations, and safety Education / Certifications Education Required Bachelor’s Degree Education Desired Bachelor’s Degree Skills & Experience Work Experience Required Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility Knowledge of and experience with effectively managing changes to the production environment and process Knowledge of and ability to identify a problem and use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution About Menasha Packaging Menasha Packaging Company is a leading designer and manufacturer of graphic consumer corrugated packaging, merchandising solutions, food packaging, shipping containers, material handling solutions, and pack-out and fulfillment services.
