Assist quality engineering in planning and conducting first article inspections in accordance with AS9102
Reject defective or malfunctioning units and/or systems
Test mechanisms for clearance and freedom of movement
Conduct in-process and final product inspections in accordance with inspection plans
Support quality and product engineers to resolve problem issues and improve quality
Work with supplier quality to facilitate corrective and preventive action relative to supplier quality problems
Support Quality Engineering in the review and generation of manufacturing/inspection documentation
Support manufacturing and quality in the design of fixturing and gauging
Recommend updates in inspection and test techniques to improve productivity/accuracy and eliminate inconsistencies through development of standards of acceptability

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of A.S. in mechanical, manufacturing engineering/ or extensive experience using Romer/Faro Arm CMM programming and inspection considered.
Strong Romer/Faro arm CMM programming/use background (PC-DMIS) plus CAD applications.
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
Experienced working in an ISO 9001: 2008 or AS9100 quality management system is preferred.
Minimum of two years of related experience required, but will put preference on those with more.
