The Sales Manager will provide Leadership, Oversight, and Training to the Sales Account Management Team:
Establish and model Best Practices in qualifying and landing new clients
Setting the Gold Standard for Customer Service and Customer Care
Creating SALES GOALS for each team member with a solid plan of execution and periodic measurement
Building a “We Can” TEAM with a WINNING ATTITUDE.
Provide leadership in efficient use of travel budget dollars to maximize the return on the company’s investment with periodic assessments of progress (such as cost per sales call).
Develop and execute a plan for each Sales Account Manager to make new contacts and win new business from existing customers and to win new clients.
Define the expectations of Customer Service with the Sales Account Management Team see that that the expectations are measured and met on a quarterly basis.
Keeping the Sales Account Managers focused on their personal sales goal(s) and the overall company sales goals with milestones throughout the year and the use of both the “carrot and the stick” to motivate and challenge.
See that travel plans each month are well planned and executed and review the cost and payback for each visit.
Provide periodic sales, customer service, and technical training to the team or individual team members as needed to build a knowledgeable, strong, confident, and respected sales force.
Conduct an annual sales force training for the entire team with the goal of polishing skills, reviewing goals, and establishing goals for the next year.
5+ years of Sales Management and Leadership Management experience
Experience with Manufacturing a major plus
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred
Strong and proven salesmanship skills
Strong and proven presentation and negotiation skills
Good technical and analytical skills
Confidence, tact, and a persuasive manner
Good organizational and time-management skills
Good “people skills” for working with a range of colleagues and clients
An ability to work under pressure
Computer skills that include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM software
International and Manufacturing experience a plus

Lakeside sources products for manufactures all across the US and ships to them on a JIT basis. We also do value added operations such as packaging, kitting, and assembly.
