Third shift position.
The incumbent's primary responsibility is to oversee the daily technical and administrative functions of the Automation laboratory; ensures compliance with institutional and laboratory policies and procedures; manages personnel.
Minimum Certifications, Registry and/or Licenses Required:
B.S., MT (ASCP) or other equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum Degree Requirements and Experience Required:
B.S. degree in Medical Technology or B.S. degree in a chemical or biological science with academic credits that meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing.
A minimum of six years clinical lab experience with at least two years experience in hematology, urinalysis, and clinical chemistry; previous supervisory experience desired and preferred.
Knowledge of, and ability to manage, the general hazards encountered when working with potentially infectious materials, hazardous chemicals, radioisotopes and laboratory equipment
Strong, quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills
Ability to set priorities, make decisions, implement changes and meet deadlines while working effectively with diverse groups of people in a frequently changing environment.
