Child & Family Services has an opening for full-time, full-year Teacher Assistant working with preschool children ages 3-5 in Waterville.
Responsibilities include implementing OWL and other curricula through a team teaching approach as well as individualizing for diverse learners. Working within a team and partnering with parents to support family goal setting, children’s health outcomes, and school readiness is also an essential component of this position.
Requirements are an Associate’s Degree in Early Care & Education, must be eligible for Ed Tech certification from the Department of Education, and at least one year experience minimum in group care setting for young children ages 3-5. Must be able to meet requirements of agency & State Child Care Licensing regulations for background checks and physical exams. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication (written & verbal) and documentation skills, critical thinking skills, proficient computer skills, and group management skills.
