Job Description Summary - Network Operations Center (NOC) responsibilities include providing connectivity and network support to all network, services, company, and customers. Serves as the technical liaison with carriers, customers, and 3rd party vendors. Maintains records on repairs, downtime, changes, and updates. Additional responsibilities also include providing first response and triage for the Security Operations Center (SOC) including ticket management, customer firewall status, attack alerts, and incoming customer requests.
Qualification/Experience - The Technician Level works on client network outages and require a sense of urgency and ability to make critical judgments as required. Normally receives detailed instructions on work. Responds to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in equipment. The Technician is usually assigned to specific portions of integrated data and communication issues. Provides input in support and maintenance of internal programs, processes, and tools and in product evaluation, testing, and research. Requires 1-2 years of related work experience, or Associate’s degree, or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A+ certification required. CCNA certification preferred. Knowledge of Network Security appliances, basic troubleshooting and knowledge is a plus, including the CCNA Security certification.
